St Andrews 1896
Where The Sea Left its Mark
The first harvest at St Andrews in 1896 helped shape Clare Valley’s winemaking history. Nearly a century later, the Taylor family acquired the historic vineyard and set about restoring its legacy.
Yet the story of this land began much earlier. Once beneath an ancient inland sea, it yielded a single fossilised seahorse that would eventually inspire Taylors’ iconic emblem.
The packaging brings these histories together. The numerals of 1896 intertwine with the seahorse like the tendrils of a vine, while significant moments from the vineyard’s past wind around the presentation box. Each bottle is individually numbered.
