L16° Far North Gin
The Memory of Water
On the outer Great Barrier Reef, a secluded tidal coral cay can be experienced on foot for only a few hours each day. Its iridescent blue water, remarkable stillness and sunlight moving across the sand left a lasting impression on the founders, who returned time and again. The latitude passing through the cay eventually gave L16° its name.
The idea was to transport someone there in an instant. Rather than illustrate the Reef, the packaging captures the feeling of being there. Pale aqua glass, sculpted curves and delicate layers of detail catch and shift with the light, recalling the movement of sunlight through crystal-clear shallows.
A fleeting moment, held in the light.
